Goodbye to the Low Waist

Two themes are strong for 2007: discretion and reaction. Discretionists will love the pared-down elegance of raw denim and clean lines with an emphasis on fit and tailoring, while reactionists will be standing out from the crowd in colored and printed jeans screaming "Look at me!" The new silhouettes are slender cigarettes and ample palazzos, and the low waist is officially over. The biggest story for 2007 is that the super-high waist is back!
