Garment District

I still get a kick when I check a US label here and it says "Made in the Philippines" 'cause I have a rough idea how much the item actually costs (minus advertising, shipping, marketing, salaries of American staff, etc), thanks to my bazaar selling days.

We went to the huge Tangers Outlet store in Rehoboth, Delaware, and I saw the same Banana Republic green coat I wanted to buy in a Greenhills tiangge selling for PhP1,200 (I didn't) being sold for US$159.00. Add the 30% discount, the Greenhills buy is still the bargain buy. This part, I miss about Manila. Oh and pirated DVDs.
